Up and coming singer songwriter Robbie Key talks about becoming the ladies favourite guitarist

For Robbie Key, music had always been something to turn to that would brighten his day and bring him comfort. The young boy shared his talent with the world, when a video of him performing a rendition of Elvis Presley’s ‘I can’t help falling in love with you’ went viral and his soothing vocals and gentle strumming stole hearts across the country.
Robbie told our reporters how his music became much more prevalent in his life after the passing of his grandmother Mary earlier this year, the story of the pair will warm hearts everywhere. ‘I’ve always loved playing the guitar as a hobby but when Grandma would ask me to play for her it became so much more.’ Key recalled. He went on to explain how his grandmother suffered from dementia in her later years and upon visiting her in hospital, he would play songs from her youth in order to comfort her and remind her of being young herself. Robbie described how his guitar playing was the only thing that would ‘put her at ease’ and it brought him great happiness to be able to help bring her joy and love in her final days.
The boy told us how he was unaware that his sister was recording him one evening during their visit to Mary, and he was even more shocked with the response that the video received after being blasted all over social media. The nation adored him, with all generation feeling touched by the story. Mothers and grandmothers felt comfort in this display of affection and teenage girls found young Robbie Key charming and chivalrous. Even other musicians and artists like Alex Turner recognised this act of kindness and reached out to Robbie.
As far as we’re aware, we can expect to hear a lot more from Robbie Key soon and in the meantime, he will be filling our feed with covers of some of the best old-time songs from singers like Tony Bennet, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. So, look out for this rising star and remember to be like Robbie and share special moments with those who you love and care for.
